Relating back to my previous post, I was able to get Grounded, online, and Left Behind all working by deleting my game data, and then going to the store to redownload every individual piece of DLC I had before this new pack was released. Once that is there, it should work once the game is fully updated.

I would make sure to download it, and then make sure that it doesn't have to be installed from the Game menu. I was also able to get it to work by going back through my download list from when I first got it when it came out. I was able to fix it by downloading the pack that Terminator linked. Regarding Grounded, that was my initial issue. I sort of forgot that that map pack existed since there are no trophies associated with it. To add a little bit to what has been mentioned here, it might be the Treacherous Territories map pack download that fixed the issue for me rather than Left Behind.
As ive downloaded these bits and a few other tlou items and my Mp now works. Re-edit i deleted the game and reinstalled it, which lead me to having to track down my network pass for the game and when i went into my download list on pc, i found all the bits and bobs for the last of us (Guns, hats, and maps), so as far as i can guess as long as you have added the addon bundle, look through you download list and download the maps (3 think), and the factions MP. Well i can connect to the mp, but when i go to connect to a match of supply raid, etc i get a box that comes up and says their are no items that you can download. But after downloading that and the other pack mentioned above my game connects online now.

Have you tried downloading the Treacherous Territories Map Pack (its under the ps4 section but you should be able to download it to ps3), as i was having the same issue as you as the game was saying i had to download something. Seems like the Left Behind DLC might have had something to do with it all. To add insult to injury, I got the season pass when the game was released so I used to have access to all of the DLC Up until recently.ĮDIT: Thankfully, reinstalling all of the old DLC seems to have fixed the issue.

This free pack seems to be causing more problems that it fixed for me. I hope that Left Behind might fix it since that is the part of the game with the now glitchy Facebook features that hinders getting online in a different way to what I am currently experiencing. I am currently working on downloading all of the previous The Last of Us DLC from my download list in the hope that it might contain whatever I need to access the multiplayer. I wonder if someone who began playing the game for the first time today would be able to access the multiplayer. My fear though is that this pack is missing something required to get into the multiplayer that every player who had the game installed prior to 5 June would have had anyway. I have downloaded that new pack that they put up.
Also, the Naughty Dog support forums don't seem to take queries on the PS3 version of The Last of Us anymore.
I'd hate to be locked out of the online and the DLC trophies for a reason like this. It's a long shot, but does anyone know what I could do? Is there a way to obtain the old game data? I didn't back it up before deleting. I suspect this since it worked fine for me up until I deleted my old game data. My fear is that since a lot of the online content was taken off the PSN Store the day that they announced the server closure, maybe something important for online play has been permanently removed. I've looked online for this issue but I can't seem to find anything relevant to the PS3 version of the game. When I go into Factions MP, I get the message, "To connect to Factions you must download some FREE map content." Selecting No doesn't let me play, and selecting OK connects me to the PSN Store, but I then get a message stating "There are no items that you can purchase at this time." This fixed my issue with Grounded, but now I can't access the multiplayer anymore. I downloaded and installed all of the content in the new, DLC pack. I couldn't get Grounded to work, so I decided to delete my game data and try again. I decided to start Grounded Mode, as I was waiting for boosting partners. I was able to connect online earlier by using the PS button workaround. I have come back to this with the aim of getting 100% on the PS3 version of the game before the server closes.
